We are so very excited to announce that Reliquary: Confession will be playing this weekend at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, OR!! They selected the first installment, Reliquary: a Mugging back in 2019 and it was truly one of the best film festival experiences we've ever had. That's why we knew we had to submit the fresh installment to a festival that we know appreciates our Lovecraft content. If you happen to be in Portland on 9/20 or 9/22, come on out and check out Short Films Block 4 to see Reliquary: Confession along with other fantastic cosmic horror short films. 

We've been a tiny bit silent lately, but that's only because we've been busy, busy bees, working away at something that we've been scheming over for years. And the time is finally at hand, and our grand opening is only about a month and a half away!

That's right, WOLF LUV STUDIOS is at last coming to fruition! For those of you who don't know, we've been planning on this for a very long time. When we first made the decision to move to Denver, the vision was to ultimately open an indie film production studio that could be the headquarters for Wolf Luv Films, as well as a resource for other Denver filmmakers. 

So bare with us as things change and we launch our biggest venture yet! WOLF LUV FOREVER!!

We have vowed to start posting updates here more often; this is the start of that. There's been much going on in our world over the past couple months, and it's always easy to let the communication lag. But we can't do that to you people!

Speaking of communication, we recently had our @wolfluvfilms instagram disabled for unclear reasons. Never a flag or a warning, just a suspension followed by a disabling. They seem to think we aren't who we say we are, which is ridiculous! It's obviously some sort of mistake, but it'll take time and effort to get it figure out. In the meantime, catch up with us on our backup account, @weirdwolf143 as well as our new WEIRD THEATER account @weird.theater and like I said, we'll be posting a lot more too. Lesson learned, it's good to diversify.

On that note we also started up a TikTok account, so go catch up with us there! Same handle as usual, @wolfluvfilms. You can also find us on facebook, of course. 

We have lots of other better news to report, but we will leave that for the next post.

You read that right! At long last, we are shooting episode 2 of our Lovecraft-inspired anthology series, Reliquary. We were just gearing up to shoot this in spring of 2020 when suddenly the entire world shut down. And although it's been a couple years since the world opened back up, it's been a long journey to get back to this point. Luckily, we had done a lot of preproduction back in 2020, and so we at least have a head start. And since then we've also met a lot more local filmmakers and like-minded artists who we are excited to finally have an opportunity to collaborate with. Keep an eye on our instagram for updates over the next few months. 

Meanwhile, WEIRD THEATER, our monthly Open Screen Night, hosted at Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo, has been gaining steam! The word is starting to get out that for a fun night filled with film, laughter, and audible gasps, WEIRD THEATER is the place to be. Every 3rd Saturday night we've been doing our best to bring together the best and the brightest of the weird  horror film scene here in Denver. Whether you have an original film or just like to watch strangeness unfold, this is the place for you. It's always first come, first screened, so we never know what we'll see until 9:30 pm when we start the screenings. Sign ups start at 9pm.

February is the month of love; weird, weird love. And that's the way we like it! As horror filmmakers in a city like Denver, we know how to celebrate love in the right way. Last year we went to the 13th Floor Love Bites haunted house, because what says Valentine's day more than getting scared or grossed out and jumping into each other's arms!?

And that is why we are extra stoked for the next installment of WEIRD THEATER OPEN SCREEN NIGHT at Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo - which lands just 3 short days after Valentines day, and we're hoping that some local filmmakers will show up with something to make us flush red with discomfort and glee. You may have noticed that we have a lot fewer videos on our youtube channel right now - this is for a good reason! We have decided to change our distribution model for shorts. Now if you want to see one of our awesome shorts, you can purchase a DVD, which also grants you access to streaming access. The first 3 episodes are still available to watch for free right now, but that may change going forward as well. We are hoping to do more of our own distribution as much as possible going forward, in order to be able to have more control over the paths our projects take. Stay tuned for more info on how to purchase our physical and digital media!

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Bring a flash drive with one film you'd like to share
2. Line up for the sign up, first come first screened
3. After your film, you must stand up in front and EXPLAIN YOURSELF
4. We will get through as many films as we can in 2 hours

WEIRDEST $HIT MEANS:
Early $hit, Scary $hit, Bizarre $hit, Experimental $hit, the $hit no film festival would ever touch. LET'S GET WEIRD!

Hello Friends!

We are SO thrilled to announce the arrival of LET'S GET WEIRD, our new stop motion animated series. We just dropped Episode 1 and will be releasing a new one on the first weekend of every month. We have 6 episodes total for season 1 and we've also been talking about ideas for season 2. So good news if you love it: there's much more to come! We just returned from the Telluride Horror Show, and are feeling quite inspired, so naturally it's time for an update. It was been far too long since our last update, but I think anyone can guess why we went quiet for a while. During the pandemic we dove into development mode, and are just recently getting into production again. But we have many exciting projects on the horizon and some new stuff up on our youtube channel as well.

We are most excited to report that we have been working hard on our stop-motion animated short series and will releasing it very, very soon. It's called Let's Get Weird, and so far it's living up to its name. We are working to put together 6 episodes, which we will release on our youtube channel before the end of the year. We're also working on a music video for local band, Gossip In Braille, which we are planning to shoot in December.

In the meantime you go can check out our new review show, STAFF PICKS, available on our youtube channel now! We thought it would be fun to start recommending our favorite horror films to anyone who's interested. Episode 1, Haunted House Movies, is up now, and we have 3 more episodes to release later in the month. 

And while you're there, make sure to check out our contributions to 2020's 48 Hour Stay At Home film challenge, Divine Invasion and Dirty Country For Dancing. It's a rare chance to watch us act. They are hilarious, and fun, and definitely worth a watch -- Check them out!
